As an English tutor with a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to teaching, I am driven to empower my students and help them achieve academic success. I recognise that every student is unique, with their own individual strengths and challenges. With experience of teaching English for 7 years at City College Plymouth & Wiltshire College in Salisbury, and tutoring for 5 years through HomeSchool Tutoring (Wiltshire), Tutors Green, Tutor Doctors, Tutor Hunt and Tutorful. I can provide value and expertise. Tutoring with me is education from a tutor with knowledge & experience. I believe in the power of building strong student-tutor relationships and I aim to foster a supportive and encouraging environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their concerns, and engaging in meaningful discussions. My role is not just as an academic mentor but also as a motivator and role model, instilling confidence, self-belief, and a love for learning.
I offer tutoring services for the following: English Key stage 3 and 4, GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature (AQA, OCR, Edexcel and iGCSE [both Cambridge and Edexcel]) and A’ Level AQA English Language and Literature. Key Literature texts include: An Inspector Calls, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, King Lear, The Kite Runner, Jekyll & Hyde, A Christmas Carol, Animal Farm, Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, Of Mice & Men, War of the Worlds, Never let Me Go, Power & Conflict/Love & Relationship Poetry, Unseen Poetry.
I offer either online tutoring over Zoom or face-to-face tutoring within a 10 mile radius of Taunton, Somerset. I have an enhanced DBS certificate uploaded to the update service (available to view on request).
