About Me

I am an English teacher, tutor, poet and writer currently residing in Somerset, UK. Combining a love of nature with my spiritual side, I enjoy writing poetry that allows my thoughts and emotions to breathe through language and the power of artistic creation. My debut poetry collection Phases of the Moon was published by Winter Goose Publishing and my haiku have appeared in the Wales Haiku Journal, The Scarlet Dragonfly, Cold Moon Journal, The Haiku Foundation and Naviar Records. My creative writing can be found here at my poetry site.

I gained a First Class English Degree from the University of Exeter and I have a Masters Degree in Creative Writing as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After suffering for years with anxiety, I developed the skills and tools of the creative mindset to free me from that debilitating condition, which helped me to reframe my past and to move forward with new motivation, allowing me to create a better life for myself and to fulfil my potential in a rewarding teaching career.

My vision in life is to help others do the same, to help people overcome their fears and doubts and achieve their goals and free their creative expression. I believe creativity isn’t just the preserve of the artist. It’s for everyone. We can use creativity as a tool for self-development, allowing us new ideas and perspectives to help us find the solutions to our problems.

I look forward to supporting you in developing the skills and mindset to navigate the challenges you face and to helping you overcome them and achieve success.
